Robert W. CahnTMS has been Professor of Materials Science at the University of Sussex in England since 1965. He built up the new Materials Science School at Sussex, was previously with the Physical Metallurgy Dept. at Birmingham University. He co-edits the Journal of Materials Science and the Journal of Nuclear Materials.
