Additional information
Dr. F. Lincoln Vogel received the BS, and MS and PhD degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in Metallurgical Engineering. Most of his career has been spent in research on electronic materials as a member of Technical Staff, Bell Telephone Laboratories, Manager of Advanced Materials at R.C.A. Semiconductor Division and Director of Semiconductor Research at Sprague Electric Company. He is currently Research Professor of Electrical Engineering and Science at the University of Pennsylvania engaged in teaching and research. For the past three years he has been studying the graphite intercalation compounds, referred to at the end of this article. This work is expected to produce novel electronic materials with useful and interesting properties.
