Natural Zeolite and the Sorption of Cyclodextrins and Some Effective Guest Components

Abstract

The preparation and characteristics of inclusion compounds formed by natural zeolite of clinoptilolite type with cyclodextrins and also with a second enclosed guest component (salicylic acid or spironolactone) are reported. The products were characterized by means of the IR and UV spectra, thermal analysis and X-ray powder patterns. All the utilized methods showed that new compounds were formed.
