D.J. Donaldson has over 25 years experience with the Bayer process of recovering alumina from bauxite, including start-up of a number of different alumina plants; various technical, engineering, and operating responsibilities; and four years in the development, design, and operation of several special alumina products plants. In his present position he is directly responsible for the overall process design of several alumina plants. He also has major responsibility for process plant layout, facilities design, and equipment selection. Mr. Donaldson holds a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Texas. He holds several patents related to alumina production.
