Abstract

In this paper Th. Jahnke’s “surprising results” of a formal calculating procedure will be enlighted by informal considerations and a subtable graphic representation. Thus, some of Th. Jahnke’s didactical conclusions are supported whereas others (concerning the “fictitious” character of the effective rate for cash loans in general) are queried.
