Eine Untersuchung zur Diskussion über Schwierigkeiten im Umgang mit dem Konvergenzbegriff, Teil II

Abstract

In recent years many suggestions have been made, to overcome the difficulties of the classical Cauchy-definition of limits. Different approaches to the limit concept have been developed and have been discussed (c.f. bibliography).

In the following we try to examine which of these approaches pupils really accept and which of these approaches really lead to a better understanding of the idea of limits. In order to answer these questions a test was developed, which was presented to about 400 pupils. The results of the investigation are reported and are compared with some earlier results of investigations, which have been reported in [5].
