Abstract
Instead of looking at functions as certain static relations we want to look at functions as a means for describing certain ways of dealing. To this end we distinguish three levels (word-level, level of dealing, level of results) and abtain functions as certain relations on the third level by a process of abstraction an knowledge from the second level, where functions are considered from a dynamic point of view. This procedure seems to be in the background of thinking in school-mathematics and more appropriate to it than a more abstract point of view in the so called “New Math”.
