Summary

In recent decades, horizontal integration by product line and productive risk diversification has been extensively employed by Western business. Those primary metals producers who also engaged in careful vertical integration experienced another type of risk dilution over the same time period. This report examines and assesses commercial strategies among aluminum producers.
