Learning from ‘ground-breaking work’ on rational drug use

Abstract

I nterventions for rational drug use that are being applied in developing countries also need to be applied to practices and regions in the developed world. Some ‘ground-breaking work’ is taking place in some healthcare centres in the developing world; there is a lot we can learn from this work, says Dr David Henry from the University of Newcastle, Australia. Together with innovative methods for knowledge transfer, the following studies illustrate the ‘ongoing South-North cross-fertilisation process’ across borders. ¹
