Abstract

I t is widely acknowledged that health economics, and in particular pharmacoeconomics, is a rapidly growing science - so, just how far has economic evaluation advanced? And what stands in the way of wider diffusion of the methodologies involved? These questions were tackled at a conference organised by ICM entitled ‘Health economics and its role in marketing and sales’ [ London, UK; March 1994 ]
