Abstract
A recent US national study of managed-care decision-makers, conducted by the Zitter Group, shows very encouraging results for the field of pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research. More than 75% of respondents were either ‘somewhat satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’ with the health economics research that they evaluate. Furthermore, most of these decision-makers want to see a lot more of this type of research. President of the Zitter Group Mark Zitter presented these positive findings at the Third Annual Meeting of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research [ Philadelphia, US; May 1998 ].
