Abstract

S everal presentations at the 136th British Pharmaceutical Conference [ Cardiff, UK; Sep 1999 ] reported results demonstrating that pharmacists’ interventions could have a positive effect on outcomes such as blood pressure control and quality of life. Other findings presented during pharmacy practice research sessions at the meeting described areas where pharmacist input could reduce inappropriate prescribing and improve general practitioners’ prescribing.
