Abstract
B ringing drug use guidelines into the workplace can lead to a reduction in treatment-related costs, but it may be necessary to put measures into place to ensure that all healthcare personnel adhere to the guidelines at all times. These findings come from studies presented at the US Paediatric Societies’ Annual Meeting [ Washington DC, US; May 1997 ]. Other investigators looked at the effect of health insurance on standards of care for children with asthma, and at a new cost-effective test for urinary tract infections in young girls who present to the emergency department with fever.
