Abstract

The following comments by Dr. A.M. Peters on “design” in engineering were recorded in the minutes of the ABET Program Task Force meeting during May 3–4, 1986. These comments were chosen to complement the two-part design series on page 29. Dr. Peters is currently a professor at the University of Nebraska. He was previously employed as a manager of design & development engineering at Brunswick Defense where he wrote these thoughts.
