Cancer recurrence was defined in this study as a rise in prostate-specific antigen levels after surgery.
Micro-RNAs are ‘tiny snippets’ of single-stranded RNA that can regulate the expression of genes, and thus regulate protein synthesis that affects cellular pathways.
