Abstract

The Tiguan marks Volkswagen’s entry into the compact SUV class. The Touareg’s small brother has plenty of aims, and one of which is to set benchmarks in diesel technology. It is driven by engines with a small displacement, has a lightweight body construction and is the first SUV with supercharged engines. The new 2.0-l TDI CR 4V is the first engine to integrate TDI and common rail technology and comply with the Euro 5 emission standard.
