Abstract

Using computer simulations to determine the aerodynamic properties of motor vehicles has become a common and accepted method. Improved forecasts with continually reduced time expenditure are crucial factors of this process. However, at Volkswagen, the Exa Corp. PowerFLOW simulation program, a Lattice-Boltzmann procedure, has proven to be essential.
