Abstract

Controlled Auto-Ignition (CAI) is a unique form of petrol combustion. To date, most work has been based on a research environment that requires complex hardware in order to function. Mahle Powertrain has focused its work on achieving a near-term, low-cost, production-feasible controlled auto ignition solution.
