Dimensionally Stable Aluminium Casting Components

Abstract

High operating temperatures cause aluminium pressure die casting components to expand. The higher the operating temperature, the more damaging this aluminium “growth” can be. In particular, interference fits can be affected. ZF Friedrichshafen AG has developed a process that eliminates this problem.
