Abstract

Tyre pressure monitoring (TPM) systems have become familiar to the public since the publication in May 2002 of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 138 [1] (FMVSS138) by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) requesting the implementation of tyre pressure monitoring systems in the USA as of November 2003.
