Abstract

NXP presents in this article a design of a Flexray switch, which enables to increase the available bandwidth in a Flexray cluster by exploiting possible branch parallelism. The design has been implemented in an FPGA prototype and is supported by a coherent programming flow. The capabilities of the Flexray switch are demonstrated in case study showing a bandwidth increase of 210 %.
