Abstract

With increasing numbers of vehicles being fitted with complex air-conditioning systems, shorter development cycles for climate control units are becoming more urgent. Appropriate work and development environments must be created, providing simple, fast and low-cost system design and domain-specific system integration. The integrity of the characteristics is guaranteed by verification and validation of the air control units. At Behr-Hella Thermocontrol GmbH (BHTC) in Lippstadt, Germany, the use of a model-based development process is now established in practice in the development of air control units.
