Abstract

The “model-based testing” approach attempts to reduce the complexity of testing to a more manageable level. For this purpose, it uses a graphical notation in the form of UML diagrams, which offer benefits over other types of representation. This report describes the approach taken by the tool Modena from Berner & Mattner Systemtechnik GmbH and the experience gained in implementing it over a period of approximately 2 years at OEMs and their suppliers.
