Abstract

The European commission is pursuing the goal of halving the number of people killed in road accidents over the period from 2000 to 2010. As a result, driver assistance systems are increasingly becoming established as standard equipment. To help achieve this target, Ibeo has developed the Alasca XT. The technology used is a match for this challenge, and the system is uniquely capable of supporting a large number of driver assistance applications simultaneously.
