Zusammenfassung

Für die Entwicklung seines neuen i-CTDi-Dieselmotors setzte Honda unter anderem Entwicklungswerkzeuge der Firma Etas ein. Diese ermöglichten es, Tests mittels Simulation durchzuführen, bevor die tatsächliche Hardware für Motor oder Steuergeräte verfügbar war. Dadurch gelang es Honda, in relativ kurzer Zeit mit dem Accord i-CTDi ein Produkt mit überzeugenden Eigenschaften auf den Markt zu bringen.
