Zusammenfassung

BMW hat im Rahmen der Erneuerung seines gesamten Ottomotoren-Programms nach den Vierzylinder- und den V8-Motoren als Spitzenmotorisierung einen komplett neuen Zwölfzylindermotor für den Einsatz im Modell 760i entwickelt. Der neue Motor mit 6 l Hubraum und einem V-Winkel von 60° vereint erstmals die vollvariable Ventilsteuerung mit einer Benzin-Direkteinspritzung. Diese Kombination ermöglicht den derzeit leistungsstärksten und verbrauchsgünstigen V12-Saugmotor in der Luxus-Fahrzeugklasse.
