Der neue Dieselmotor Cursor 8 von Iveco

Zusammenfassung

1998 begann Iveco mit der Produktion eines neuen fortschrittlichen Dieselmotors. Mit einer Leistung von maximal 259 kW bei einem Hubvolumen von nur 7,8 l setzt dieser Cursor 8-Motor die Entwicklungsstrategie für hochaufgeladene Dieselmotoren fort, die Iveco vor mehr als zehn Jahren startete. Iveco setzt zukunftsweisende Techniken ein, zum Beispiel einen Turbolader mit variabler Turbinengeometrie, ein Hochdruck-Einspritzsystem mit Pumpe-Düse-Einheiten, eine Dekompressions-Motorbremse, Faser-Ölfilter und neueste Gusstechnologie. In diesem Beitrag werden die Motorenkonstruktion und Besonderheiten der Entwicklung beschrieben.
