Position sensors on clutch actuators

Abstract

Over the last few years there has been a substantial change in clutch applications. This turnaround becomes due to new functionalities, increased system requirements of control units, decreased space requirements and last, but not least, cost reduction. Thus new sensor concepts will become an imperative for the powertrain market. To fulfil the increasing demand for measurement information with high reliability and accuracy, Tyco-Electronics has set the emphasis for development to integrate the optimal sensor technology into the application. In particular Tyco-Electronics can offer several sensor solutions for operation under adverse environmental conditions.
