Abstract
With the Roadster and Roadster-Coupé, Smart has produced two compact open-top vehicles providing sporty driving dynamics with a mere 698 cm3 turbo engine. Their close technical kinship with the Smart City-Coupé demonstrates the potential of this concept. The striking design of both models establishes a clear brand identity. Thanks to the innovative roof structure and numerous comfort and safety features, the new lightweight two-seaters revive the traditions of the purist Roadsters of the fifties and sixties.
