Abstract

NVH represents an important quality feature of today’s automobiles. In order to offer the customer the best possible product, it is essential to include NVH optimisation in the development process from the start of the concept phase up to the production phase. A vital factor in meeting demanding NVH targets is the right design of the powertrain mounting system. At FEV Motorentechnik in Aachen/Germany, the search for the best possible mount characteristics is currently being supported by powerful simulation tools.
