Abstract
After the successful revival of the single-cylinder entry-level segment in the year 1993, the BMW motorcycle division is presenting the F 650 CS, which is the third model of this type. The successor to the first F 650 model, which was assembled in Aprilia/Italy under a European joint venture, has already been coming off the Berlin production lines since the beginning of 2000. Its “brother”, whose looks and technical specifications are truly outstanding, is also built in Berlin.
The name “Scarver” is reminiscent of carving, which is a modern way of skiing, in order to underline the bike’s superior riding pleasure apart from its practical qualities. The motorbike’s design and equipment show clearly that BMW mainly wants to attract younger and less experienced riders to the BMW motorcycle family.
