Abstract

The requirements to be met by extensometers are as diverse as the range of applications in the automotive industry for which they are used. These include materials testing, component and system analysis and whole-vehicle trials. No single device can satisfy all these needs, as the experts at Zwick in Ulm are well aware. The criteria that speak in favour of a suitable extensometer for a particular application are very different.
