Abstract

Enhanced competitiveness can be accomplished in many ways, with different depths of effect. But as soon as these approaches are exhausted, the question arises as to what options exist for future optimisation. For that reason, companies have to undergo a permanent improvement process in all areas. Experience at Takata-Petri AG has shown that human resources, i.e. the employees’ expertise and opportunities for their further education, involve a higher potential for the improvement of a company’s competitiveness than technical innovations.
