Abstract
Laying up large CFRP structures manually is very time-consuming and dependent on the productivity of individual employees. As a result, several different automated systems have been developed. In recent years, tape laying and fibre placement technology have allowed for the automated laying up of large structures. Now improvements and further automation are needed, in order to make profitable, large-scale production possible in the long term.
