Abstract

The increasing integration of infotainment components means that the range of functions included in a modern passenger car cockpit is also constantly increasing. What is more, the cockpit should be as light as possible, but it should also offer increased crash protection. This conflict of objectives is resolved by the hybrid „EcoSpace Cockpit“ with its load-bearing structure made of steel.
