Rivtac is an extremely fast self-piercing riveting technology that allows parts to be joined from one side without pre-prepared holes. it can be used for joining a wide variety of materials, and is therefore also suitable for multi-material design, especially for thin-wall, high-strength steels and, for example, aluminium. The technology has great potential in the automotive industry, for example, where it offers significant weight savings in body construction.
