Zusammenfassung

Die große Anzahl neuer Technologien und die immer kleiner werdende Zeitspanne bis zur Markteinführung sind Schlüsselelemente in der Entwicklung heutiger Fahrzeuge. Dies zwingt den Automobilingenieur dazu, seine Entwicklungswerkzeuge und -abläufe anzupassen. Ford hat daher einen Lenksystem prüfstand als Hilfsmittel zur Entwicklung zukünftiger Lenksysteme eingerichtet. Obwohl weiterhin Fahrversuche auf der Straße ihren Platz im Entwicklungsprozess behalten werden, kann so die notwendige Entwicklungszeit durch eine Verlagerung von der Test- auf die Verifikationsphase verkürzt werden.
