Abstract

Four keto-trichothecenes (nivalenol, deoxynivalenol, 3-acetyl-deoxynivalenol, and fusarenone-X) were tested in a new “brine shrimp” bioassay, showing that NIV, DON, and F-X are highly active in this system. An improved equipment for the breeding and separating of larvae is indicated.
