Zusammenfassung
Die Rolle von Axiomen und Sätzen ist gewöhnlich so, daß Axiome benutzt werden, um Sätze zu beweisen. In der reversen Mathematik werden Sätze benutzt, um daraus Axiome herzuleiten. Dadurch werden die minimalen Voraussetzungen erkannt, unter denen die Sätze gewonen werden können. Das Programm der reversen Mathematik ist grundlagentheoretisch motiviert und bezieht sich auf die klassische Mathematik, die sich in der Arithmetik der zweiten Stufe formalisieren läßt. Die Axiome sind, bis auf das volle Komprehensionsschema, grundlagentheoretisch unproblematisch. Es geht darum, für zahlreiche klassische Sätze zu untersuchen, welche Abschwächungen des Komprehensionsschemas gerade noch ausreichend sind.
