Scattering of pions from90Zr and118Sn around the Δ resonance

Summary

The generalized diffraction model of Frahn and Venter is used to study the elastic and inelastic scattering of pions from90Zr and118Sn around the Δ resonance. The interaction radiusR, surface diffusenessd and the deformation parameter, leading to the lowest 2+ and 3+ states, are obtained.
