Ronald Lippitt is professor of psychology and sociology at the University of Michigan and research director of the Research Center for Group Dynamics. He made pioneering experimental studies of the effects on children’s groups of democratic and authoritarian adult leadership. Co-author ofThe Dynamics of Planned Social Change, he is currently working on the development of a new Center for the Utilization of the Behavioral Sciences.
