Abstract
Using thermodynamic data, the authors have calculated the equilibrium constants (at high temperatures and pressures) for 47 reactions among 18 kinds of minerals present in the Meishan iron deposit, and constructed equilibrium diagrams of the mineral assemblages. On this basis the physicochemical conditions of formation of the deposit and the relations between mineralization and wall-rock alteration are also discussed
