Part IV. Ofm-hydroxybenzaldehyde

Summary

m-Hydroxybenzaldehyde condenses when heated alone with propionamide, benzamide and phenylacetamide, giving correspondingm-hydroxy-benzylideneamides, which have been described. No condensation product was obtained with acetamide or formamide.
