Proceedings of the Indian Academy of Sciences - Section A Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Substituted 1∶2∶3∶4-tetrahydroacridones have been prepared by the cyclisation of the β-arylaminocrotonic esters obtained from ethyl cyclohexanone-2-carboxylate ando-toluidine,p-bromaniline,o-anisidone,p-anisidine andp-phenetidine. Borsche and Tiedke’s method of preparing substituted tetrahydro-acridones has been applied to 2-methylcyclohexanone, 4-methylcyclohexanone andtrans-β-decalone.
