Vom Monopol zum Markt — 10 Jahre technischer Fortschritt im österreichischen Salzbergbau

Zusammenfassung

Der österreichische Salzbergbau wurde seit 1995 von 2 Zäsuren geprägt: dem Ende des Salzmonopols und der Privatisierung des vorher zu 100% staatlichen Unternehmens. Seither konnte mit einem um 30% verringerten Personalstand die Bergbauproduktion um 32% erhöht werden. Die Sole-Stückkosten wurden halbiert. Das Fundament dieser positiven Entwicklung liegt in einer Reihe von technischen Innovationen wie beispielsweise der Fortentwicklung der Bohrtechnik, Optimierungen im Bohrlochsondenverfahren und der Einführung der Prozess-Leittechnik.

Abstract

Since 1995, salt mining in Austria has been marked by two great changes: the end of the monopoly on salt, and the privatisation of what was previously a 100% state holding in the industry. Since this time a 32% increase in mining production has been achieved with 30% reduction in staff. Brine costes have been halved. The basis of this positive development can be found in a string of technical innovations such as the ongoing development of drilling techniques, optimisation of our borehole-well-technology and the introduction of process control systems.
