Langzeitergebnisse der GSTP-Frontalisschlingenoperation

Zusammenfassung

Frontalisschlingenoperationen sind bei Ptosispatienten mit einer Levatorfunktion von weniger als 2 mm die Methode der Wahl. Sie wird relativ häufig bei congenitalen Ptosisformen bei Kindern angewendet, wo die Entnahme der früher routinemäßig verwendeten, autologen Fascia lata schwierig ist und eigentlich vermieden werden sollte.

Seit 1986 wurde an unserer Klinik statt der bewährten Fascia lata der Kunststoff Politetrafluoroethylen (Gorotex®-Soft Tissue Patch = GSTP) für 25 Frontalisschlingenoperationen an 20 Patienten verwendet.

Alle, auch die bilateralen Eingriffe waren einfach durchzuführen und die postoperative Heilungsphase war komplikationslos.

Nur bei einem Patienten kam es drei Jahre nach der Operation zur Abstoßung einer der beiden GSTP-Schlingen.

Bei allen anderen Patienten war das funktioneile und kosmetische Ergebnis zufriedenstellend und die Materialverträglichkeit gut.

Summary

In ptosis patients with a levator function of 2 mm or less, the frontalis suspension technique is the operation method of choice.

Especially in children efforts were made to avoid the use of Fascia lata, mainly because of the potential scarring of the donor area. This was one of the main reasons to use Poly tetra flora ethylene (Gore-tex®-Soft-Tissue-Patch = GSTP) in 20 patients a sling material for frontalis suspension operations.

On all patients the procedure could be performed without difficulties, and there were no postoperative complications.

Only in one patient the sling material extruded three years after the operation.

In all other patiensts the functional and cosmetic results were satisfying and the biocompatibility of the material was excellent.
