Summary

A 27 year old male developed a unilateral proptosis combined with motility disturbances 12 years after traumatic orbital floor repair with a teflon-implant.

The orbital-CT-scan showed a cyst — like structure that surrounded the teflon implant.

The teflon implant war surgically removed and the cyst content sucked off. The fluid contained mostly granulocytes and makrophages. Postoperatly the proptosis resolved and the ocular motility improved significantly.

Six months after surgery no new cyst was observed.
