Covering of plane surface with inequigranual powders

Abstract

The authors continuing the experiments ofBodó andHangos, concerning the same subject (these authors performed experiments mainly on powders of homogeneous grain size distribution), came to the conclusion that in the case of layers sedimented from powders with inhomogeneous grain distribution, when describing the covering eircumstances, compactness, space filling of the layer has to be taken into consideration. In this way the authors obtained such general relations by which the covering conditions of the layers sedimented from powders of inhomogeneous grain size distribution can be well described. From this general law — with adequate initial conditions — the former relations can be deduced. The agreement of the relations gained with the experimental results is satisfactory.

В продолжение недавной аналогичной работы Бодо и Хангош, в которой рассматривались в основном порошки с равномерным распределением размеров зерен в данной работе авторы делают вывод, что в случае слоев седиментированннх из порошка с неравномерным распределением зерен при описании покрытия необходимо учесть также и плотность и заполненность слоя. Это приводит к более общей зависимости, которая хорошо применима к описанию слоев седиментированных из порошков с неравномерным составом аерен. Из этой общей закономерности с учетом соответствующих начальных условий могут быть выведены зависимости полученные раньше. Полученные зависимости удовлетворительно согласуются с экспериментальными данными.
