Abstract
In the band spectrum of SiO a1 Σ−3 Π i perturbation is observed in the 1.0 band at 1413 Å of theH 1 Σ + −X 1 Σ + system. The3 Π i state belongs to an intermediate coupling case between Hund’s cases a and b. The following molecular constants in cm−1 for the3 Π i state are derived:ν 0 = 70 818,B=0.589,A=−36.
