Abstract
In the course of the renewal of the Central Control Centre Innsbruck for generation and transport of the traction energy of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) an Energy Management System with a considerable share of Power Application Software including a training simulator was set up.
The Power Application Software supplies a consistent and complete picture of the electrical power network and is the basis for the further arithmetical treatment of the process. It supports the operator in the reliable and economic system management of processes getting increasingly complex. Further it serves as help for decisions regarding the short-time system planning.
The training simulator serves for the simulation of unusual operating conditions and is also used for the training of the load control engineers.
